first one on Ka band?

They're on Anik F2 (111.1 W) with 31 Ka band spot beams to cover the CONUS. The CPE dish is 26x28 inches.

I wonder if they have enough ERP in both directions to keep working during rain.

I hear they have a program that will increase power during rain fade, not sure how well it actually works yet...
