VTV4 and other Vietnamese channels

We get this question all the time: Are there any Vietnamese language FTA channels in North America other than VTV4 (IA5) or VPTV (AMC4)?

Do you know?

Nope. That's it - just those two FTA channels.

That's a shame, given that there are more Vietnamese people than Korean folks, yet there are more Korean FTA channels... heheh. well, I guess economics has something to do with that. heh..

My experience with Vietnamese-Americans is very positive. Most are business owners and seem successful in their ventures. Almost all are very family oriented and hard working people.

So, financially I think most are doing well.

One hour of Vietnamese programming a day

At AMC6 (72W), I found they have several asian programs including chinese, vietnamese, and korean. Other stuff is religion, but mainly its a shopping channel. See link below for show times.

Hey, that's a cool link.. Good to know...

Now if only I can aim that far east from the Pacific Northwest, that'd be great... I got some obstacles in that direction.
