pointing to Measat 2

hi,
wondering if i can use my 33" w/ standard linear lnb to pick up Measat 2 at 148.0°E (btw im in Canada)......

can i even pick up any sat from the east... looks like most sat calculators go up to 148W

saw this thread VTV1, VVT2, VTV3 & VTV5 on Measat2 at 148 East got my answer.... but wondering if anyone from the west coast is able to get it

Sattracker shows it's visible from Alaska with elev.5°, but not from the rest of continent.

Those channels are on a Vietnam beam.

Here is the map of Ku beams on that sat. It is not possible to receive the signal anywhere in the US.

Are you saying that it is not possible to get a Vietnam station from Vietnam?

I live in Washinton State and was just over to a friend of the family and he get's Vietnam,Thiland,Cam, and some from Iran!

From that particular satellite it is not (in the US) .

You wish budd. Just move your house to ThaiLan, then I think you can pick up those Channels :-)
