i personality do NOT like the leather casing on the birdog. i had to customize it to my liking.

I agree - the case is retarded. Blocks my view of the screen and the coax LNB cable gets in the way. Does your Dog identify Nimiq 82? Mine won't - it identifies both Nimiqs as Nimiq 91. :roll:

i had to use nimiq 2 as 91. apparently they changed it.. iread it somewhere. i dont use nimiq 82 for my installs. i assume if i find nimiq 2 (82) i would use nimiq 1 as 82.

so confusing.. but i think need to rename them

You should familiarize yourself with Nimiq 82 because with all the high def and foreign language channels (plus TRN, BTV and PrideVision) moving to the new bird, more and more subs are going to want the dual LNB dish.

I should try a new software download to see if they have a new version that will allow the Birdog to identify Nimiq 2 as Nimiq 2 and not as Nimiq 1.

I agree with you about the leather casing. I will be contacting the manufacturer about this and hopefully they will improve the casing. Do you have a digital picture of the custom casing you made Vu? If you don't mind, please send me a picture so that we could implement some of the improvements.

The 1009IDF is still under evaluation and will report on it soon.
