once you get your basic settings you have to fine tune by moving east and west in small amounts like 1/16 th of inch at a time also up and down the key is to make small and slow movements. remember you are trying to hit a object 22000 miles away. also check www.lyngsat.com to make sure you are on a actve transponder. and don't forget to add or subtract for magnetic variance on your azimuth.

Hi Rainman,

I used satellite signal meter to peek. But i can not hear any sound come out from the SAT-Meter. Do you think the LnBF or recceiver is BAD???

Hi Sundoan,

You should not rely on the satellite signal meter. It won't work. I do not know why but i had the same problem with you. When i connected the signal meter with the receiver and the LNBF, i did not hear any sound or anything came out from this device at all.

The VTV4 channel is on Intelsat American 5 ( 97 W), not AMC 4. The only Vietnamese channel on AMC is VPTV (http://www.radiohaingoai.com/).

You should consider about the LNBF Polarization Tilt degree too. I don't know how to set it up because i am using a motorized system. Many people in here can help you out. Good luck.

To get VTV4 @97*W you need to make sure your post (dish)is level first. Then set your dish angel at 55*. Don't worry about the Azimuth. Now move the dish west to east a little at a time. Best thing to do is have a portable dvd player and the reciever hook up near the dish, that way you could see the signal if you catch it. I hate to use the signal meter. Also look @ your neighbor see if anyone have dtv or dish setup. Because dtv is at 101* and dish is 110*. Hope that help. I already install one in houston with no problem.

If you want to pick up VPTV @101*W then your dish angle 54.8
