Satellite is on a distinguished road
Can I use Dish Legacy 300, or Dish 500 Antenna?

I was a subcriber of Dish Network for more than 10yrs. I just cancel the contract after finding the VTV4 and VPTV. I have two dishes from Dish Network, and they are Legacy 300 (single LBN, single output) and Dish 500 (twin LNB w/ dual outputs). Would it possible to use either one of them for receiving either VTV4 or VPTV? I have heard that is possible, but I have not seen any doing that way. Any reason why and why not, please help. I am living in Houston, TX. Thanks.

P.S. The same question for 18" Direct TV dish. I have a Pansat 2700A loaded with the original bin from http://xxx.pansatusa.com, and an original Viewsat 2000.

No, you will need at least a 30" diameter dish and linear LNB to receive VTV4 and/or VPTV. DishNetwork dishes are too small and have the wrong kind of LNB.

Here is what you will need:

---> http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Order/Dish...llite-dish.htm

If you want to receive both VTV4 and VPTV from one dish then you should order the 90 cm. dish and 2 linear LNBs -- one for each satellite. VTV4 comes off IA5 at 97 degrees west and VPTV comes off AMC4 at 101 degrees west. With the larger 90 cm. dish it is possible to pull in both satellites using only one dish. You will also need a DiSEqC switch to join the two LNBs into your receiver.
