Help on CoolSat Pro 4000 with Bird 97 + VTV4

Yo All:
I just bought Fortect Dish 36 inch and FSKU-V Universal Single FNBF from SADOUN SATELLITE Sell. Could you please walk me thru on how to set this up on Coolsat Pro? What type of LNB and frequency I should put on, how to scan or at TP so that I could have VTV4? Thanks a lot and have great evening.

I'm not too familiar with the Coolsat but in general here are the settings for VTV4 on satellite IA5 (aka Telstar 5):

1) For the LNB you have the settings should be UNIVERSAL with L.O. frequency of 10,600 MHz.

2) VTV4 is broadcast on two transponders at the moment; the settings for them are:

freq = 12,177 MHz / VERTICAL / symbol rate = 23,000
freq = 11,966 MHz / HORIZONTAL / symbol rate = 22,000

Make sure those two transponders are entered into the receiver's TP LIST and scan them. If the Coolsat can do a POWER SCAN or BLIND SCAN then it will find them automatically.

PS: the audio on VTV4 is screwed up and has been for a few days now; check out this thread for more dirt.

Signal Strength is only 30%

Thanks. I did exactly as you advice. however I only get 30% signal strength, Scanning cannot find any channel. Is there any trick to aim the fortect 36 inch dish with FSKU-V LNBF to bird 97? Thanks

No tricks; just patience. Move the dish very slowly and wait a few seconds between each move as the receiver takes a few seconds to lock onto the signal. Make sure you set the receiver to an active transponder too. Look for the "quality" reading and not the signal strength.
