Announcement from VTV4

Starting at 5/15, VTV4 will broadcast 24 hours a day. The program is still 8 hours and repeats 2 more times.
The live program starts 10am PT each day.
In summary, VTV4 will be broadcast as follow:
10am - 6pm: live from Vietnam
6pm - 2am: repeat.
2am - 10am: repeat.

Only the VPTV and 4 radios.
I emailed Globecast last year asking if the are planing to have Vietnamese channel in future, the answer was "maybe".

Unless they ll tranfer it on some other channel somewhere or TP

Today there were color bars on the VTV4 channel so it looks like MRTV is gone.

I saw this colors bars before: they are from the domestic service of Myanmar TV (MRTV). MRTV-3 is the international service in english who broadacast normally during night hours in Myanmar (afternoon eastern). Sometimes, when there is no program on MRTV-3 they switch to MRTV like yesterday afternoon (eastern). It is night hours in Myanmar and it is color bars from MRTV. MRTV begins program at 20h00 eastern last night (morning Myanmar time). This domestic service of course is in Burmese language not in English. We will have to wait until tomorrow to see what PIttsburgh International Telecommunications will do with this issue. But I think it will be a mistake to lost a programming so colorful like Myanmar TV, the most exotic TV station in IA5 in my opinion...

US time (Pacicfic time): 10am on Sunday, 5/15.

MRTV-3 programming is on currently ... it's still ON :mozilla_smile:

maybe lets hope they will transfer it somewhere else on the same or different TP...

at the same time -... that 5/15 or 5/16 or whatever it is Deadline .. for VTV to go 24/7 is not far away at all..

In any case.. i guess.. This..works for Vietnamese people out there :mozilla_wink:

Yup.. Here it goes - 24/7 .. just as you said - 12am 5/16 (Vietnam time) / 10 am 5/15 (Pacific time in N.America) :mozilla_laughing:

Well.. today is Sunday anyhow...

Wonder when new week begins tomorrow (or in a near future at the least) .. wonder if they might have some plans for MRTV-3 elsewhere...

But the question is where? .. on the same TP?
Is there any more room on the same TP then?

Or which ones (channels) would make good sense to put MRTV-3 on? .. Let's see. maybe any of those:

12177 - V - 23000 Video (S)/FTA CCN (occasionally FTA) 35 36 35 1 Community Care Network (ENG) ... - scrambled anyhow.. or BS otherwise =P~
12177 - V - 23000 Video FTA FTV (Fashion TV) 37 38 37 22 Fashion TV (ENG) ... this one i don't know.. It's one of the best channels anyhow.. but supposed to be "no longer FTA" .. comes september (or something like that).. - so will they just scramble it (i suppose more likely) .. or move it somewhere else (less likely)
12177 - V - 23000 Video (S)/FTA Back To Health 47 48 47 8 Healthy Leaving Network (ENG) ... it's not as bad as CCN.. but .. who knows....

And then of course we have TVK TV (Russian religious one - hehe - they should just keep it for me).. Maharishi (hmmmm....) ..

Besides.. MRTV-3 ..can remain part-time content only (as it is currently), instead of having it at 24/7 content (as VTV 4 just went)

Would be big surprise though.. if MRTV-3 goes 24/7 also .. lol :^o

Also there is another possibility for MRTV-3 but I'm not optimistic: Pittsburgh Communications has also the 11836 V tp where there is only 10 video channels on it, compare to 14 on 12177 V... Maybe MRTV-3 wil ask to stay accessible in NA....I'm praying ! :mozilla_innocent:

it IS CCN - Church Communication Network now ...

I remember seeing it as other CCN though in the past, i swear..
hehe - as Community Care Network - www.ccnusa.com - ..with Logo for it and all... and it was Scrambled mostly .. with sometimes going FTA mode..(i was the one who notified Lyngsat / Lyngmark about it....

Is this one always FTA, or on a part time basis only?

VTV4 is planing to broadcast 12 hours for its program, then repeat it. Since it's not an official announcement, that's all I can say for now. Expect this happens some times in July or August.

hmm.. them MRTV-3 might be back maybe sometime in those 12 other hours :mozilla_cool:

..and until then maybe - it's on vacation (MRTV-3) .. Not permanent one, i hope, expecially for Kanak's sake =P~
