Re: vtv4 & Vptv

Did you mean by using one dish for 2 sats? The answer is Yes but a bit difficult since they are 4 degs apart. I did some modification on my fix Primestar dish, which get G11, T5 and AMC4 at the same time. It takes some times to find a right spot for the side lnbfs, plus you will need to find a way to mount them. If you look for easy way, Toriodal 90cm looks like the one you need.

The modification will work with all dish type, as long as it large enough so the side lnbfs can collect good signal for the receiver to decode. A 36" dish should be a godd start if your dish is round. Just be prepare to spend lot of time to find right spot for the side lnbfs.

the 30 inches dish works..i was able to get amc4 and t5 with my 76cm dish...so you have to have a big dish...the signal is around 90 and quality is about 90

Question?

I've been thinking to get these two sats. But my apartment building only allow one dish per balcony, I'm currently Dishnet customer and like to keep Dishnet plus new FTA.

Can I just replace the old dish with new 36" dish, reinstall (2) Dish's lnbf to the dish and plus new FTA lnb ? Angle, elevation, skew. Are they stay in the same position?

Will this set up works?

Any info greatly appreciated.

You could buy a toroidal dish http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Products/W...sh-antenna.htm like the T55 or T90. This will allow multi-satellite reception of up to 40 degrees. T5 (VTV4) is at 97, AMC4 (VPTV) is at 101 and the Dishnet sats (most common ones) are at 110 and 119; so all four fall within the 40 degrees arc. Then you can get by with having only one dish on your balcony.
