Signaloc Problems (Anybody else?)

I purchased a signaloc and could never get it to hold a charge, it would simply say "Boost Charging" forever, and when I would unplug it, it would turn on for a second and turn right off, like there was no battery charge. So I returned it to Sadoun and got a new one. The new one charged ok, but would not load the new satellite info. No matter how many ways on how many computers I tried to get it to work, I couldn't. Always failed the update (I'm an IT Technician so I'm very familiar with computers and troubleshooting.) Finally I had them replace the computer cable and after 3 tries I finally got it to load. I used it to do a few installs and now, just the other day I plugged in the Signaloc and it's been sitting on Boosting Charge forever now. I mean, WHAT THE CRAP!? It now appears this second one will no longer hold a charge. What on earth could I be doing? Has anybody else experienced problems with this unit? For $400+ I expect SOOOO much more. :?

Tayhuck, I bought the SATHAWK and also sent it back for a replacement and if this one does not work I intend to send it back as well. I think if you spend over $500 bucks for a "Pro Meter" it had better work flawlessly!
Also I had to buy an ACUTRAC 22 ($125) just so I could continue to do installs, while my faulty SATHAWK is being replaced. I'm really hoping that this wont end badly with me spending $500 bucks on a crap box. Let me know if you have had any sucess. Thanks, chris@ciaraco.com
