sat meters

Do those professional satellite meters tell the name of the satellite once you point the dish to it or they got to be pre programed to identify only one satellite?

You preprogram the satellites into the signal meter before usage. For example, the Birdog will accept up to 32 satellites.

Let's say you want to aim the dish at T5. You select T5 on the meter. Once you get a lock on the signal from T5, the meter will say FOUND. It will then give you a Signal/Quality reading.

Very handy and would highly recommend it to all installers. It will pay for itself in a short period of time.

Does the Birdog work for frequencies of 10 to 13 Ghz from the Hispasat in South America ?
