signaloc-pro

A few days ago I bought a signaloc meter and I was surprised that there is no data for nimiq1 and nimiq2. I went to meter support website (www.lacunasystems.co.uk). I downloaded and put it my meter info for America but still same, no nimiq's. Only telstar 11 which is on 91west. How can I get data for nimiq's for my meter.

thank you
kisa

I think the only way is to contact the manufacturer. I don't know of any other way to download the data for Nimiq 91 and Nimiq 82.

:?

ok i got the signaloc-pro
amc4 and others work. i mostly install t5, and amc4 for inxworld my birddog dont pick it up even though i updated the machine. otherwise signaloc pro works on all my dishes , dtv, superdish, 61 and the regulars .. accept 91.. 82 works fine.. at least i can pick up one.

i cant rely on nextel's to relay back and forth.. i need to install it quick so i can get to the next install. i love my signaloc pro

you should get one to kat

Yeah, I might have to because the Birdog can't use universal LNBs and supposedly the Signaloc can -- so I will probably be getting a Signaloc. I still can't figure out why you could not lock onto Nimiq 91 and 82 using the same file I am using. What version of firmware is in your Birdog? Maybe that has something to do with it. My version (for the second Birdog which uses same file I sent you) is 2.50

I wonder. You could ask Sadoun how to get a newer version of firmware. My old Birdog uses 2.01us and the newer one uses 2.50us. Guess I was just lucky not to get 2.20us if it is buggy like you say.

Hi All

We will be getting our own brand name meter in a few weeks. It is called the SatHawk 3000 digital meter. It is exactly as the SignalocPro (comes from the same factory), but the SatHawk will have improved battery performance, latest firmware, and yellow color case. We are working with the factory to add new features and so forth. We will also have more control of the software updates, etc.

The website for the new meter is www.sathawk.tv

Either the Signaloc or the Birdog is well worth it if you do lots of installs. The satellites it locks onto depends on the software you download into it (except for a few known issues with the Birdog).

BTW -- nice nick !!! If its itchy then scratch it... LMAO

Ive tried mostly the FSS and DSS signals works fine for me. except 91 is on echo61.5 and 148 but if you know the directions it works. make sure you have a compass ready. ive done alot of motor jobs recently and use amc5 79degrees and it picked up right away. i havent tried sbs6 it wasn't on the america file. but the dss signals works.

I bought the unit, works great, although it doesn't seem to get any picture quality on Nimiq 91 or Nimiq 82 I have read about some issue's with the Nimiq satellites.

You mean it can't find Nimiq 91 or 82? Tell us what it does or doesn't do.

Well, if it works like a Birdog does then by finding the signal it has locked onto it. Then you go into another screen and tweak the dish for maximum signal. I have never worked with a SignaLoc but I suspect it works pretty much the same way.
