Help !!!!!
Hello all experts,
I'm having problem with setup sat to receive VTV4. I bought the bundles systems from Sadoun for VTV4 channel (it included FS90P 36" Dish, KUL1: Sadoun Std Linear Single Ku 0.4 LNBF, Fortec Mercury II Digital FTA Receiver, Sadoun SF95LK Signal Meter Kit (having compass, satellite signal meter). And now is my problem: I'm setup everything exactly the same (elevation, azimuth, and skew) as specified in the "Satellite Heading Calculator" link Satellite Look Angles Satellite Heading Calculator Azimuth Elevation Skew Tilt LNBF Latitude and Longitude values
. I'm using satellite signal meter to find the location of the IA5 by hearing the strongest "buzz" sound from the singal meter when I rotate the dish to left or right then I tight up the dish. Now I connect the receiver and turn on to scan for vtv4 channel (frequency = 11,966 MHz, polarity = HORIZONTAL, symbol rate = 22,000) in the setup menu. However, my receiver show the "LEVEL" very weak (about 30%) so that I can't lock it in. Now i'm stuck. Do i need to do satellite alignment again? By the way, I don't use any diseqc because I only use one dish. Please help and thank you all.

First make sure there is no obstruction, ie trees, building, etc blocking the signal. Do a blind scan by going to the antenna setup menu, change it from FTA to POWERSCAN, lower the increment frequency to 4, the receiver will then scan all the frequencies coming into the dish, jot those frequencies as they appear, compare them to the frequencies that is posted in lyngsat.com This way, you let the receiver tell you what it is aimed at. If the frequency pattern matches IA5, then you can make minor adjustments like skewing your LNB (rotate a little clockwise or counterclockwise and seeing if your signal level improves). If your frequency pattern is that of another satellite, then you will know whether to move your dish west or east.

Thx William Eng, but I still having a problem to catch the Galaxy 25 bird. Now my question is which Azimuth do u use when u set up the dish (the true AZ or the margin AZ ??? In my cases i have = Azimuth (true): 144.0°;; and Azimuth (magn.): 130.7° using Compass) so which one do I need to use for setup my dish? Thanks for your help.

Try 144 first.
