VPTV and VTV4 on same Dish?
Hello anyone,
I am currently receving VTV4 (97w) and recently I've heard about VPTV (101w). I've heard rumor that it's possible to get both of these chanel on the same dish.
Does anyone know how to set this up? Do I buy another LNBf and mount it next to the current LNBF for the VTV4?? Is it even possible?
If not, I've heard about using the motorized system. I've never done this, is it difficult? Any brand recommendation?
One thing for sure, I'm only allow 1 dish for my condo.
Thanks you much,

In that case, shouldnt someone tell Sadoun webmaster to remove that listing from their website for "available Vietnamese FTA channels?"
Also, I see that their website is still up, though w/o mention of a TV channel anymore.

Maybe someone can contact them via their website and ask?
I think they still have video available on their website.

I think in the future they will show on Galaxy 95C. There are 2 Vietnamese radio station there now.
VPR/TNT : Frequency 12050; Symbol rate: 20000; Polarization : Horizontal
Sep 1, 2007: VPTV on Satellite AMC4 is OFF AIR until further notice
Dec 12, 2007: 2 radio channels via satellite Galaxy 3C are ON AIR: VPR & TNT

I would recommend a 90cm dish for better quality.any linear lnbf should work.

From your post, I pick the followings:
1. 90cm Fortec dish
2. Invacom SNH-031 Lnbf
Is this selection OK?

For reasonable price, I pick the dish and LNBF below:
Fortec 31" Dish FS80P ($45)
ULN1 0.4dB LNBF ($29)
Is this selection OK for VTV4 Vietnamese satellite?
I lived on zip code 95051, I do not know how much is the shipping.

it should work ok but for the extra quality you will get and the small amount of price difference I would recommend going with the 90cm you won't regret having the bigger dish in the long run.and it's hard to beat the Invacom lnbf in my oppinion.

Hey guys I just bought dishnetwork dish 1000 plus gettin 118.7 Vietnamese channel Thuan Viet hook up to dpp44 and I have couple questions. I have 3 neosat ipro 2000 and 1 sonicview sv 4000. Can I add vtv4 dish to it? Vtv4 signal is 97 right? or I could be wrong, but if I'm right both of my receiver got that option. How many channel does vtv4 have? If ya guys can answer this questions I would appreciated.

If you are using your FTA receivers to get Thuan Viet you are breaking the law. Thuan Viet is a scrambled Dishnet channel. Please read the rules of this forum before posting any further.

Sorry didn't know it was illegal. I thought fta mean free to air. Most people said it legal in some way. If it illegal then I shouldn't even bother with it. Thanks for the info bodkat and sorry for posting that thread. It won't happen next time.

Receiving true FTA is not illegal but receiving subscription services with a FTA receiver with aftermarket software is.
