titeo123 is on a distinguished road
pansat 2700A with fortec

Hello:
I am a newbie to dish network and new to this forum so please bear with me if I have some stupid questions.
I got a Pansat 2700A receiver work fine with my 21" dish500 but now I want to watch IA5 on 97W and AMC4 on 101W so I plan to buy a 31" Fortec dish with motorized positioner but I wonder if it will work with pansat 2700A or I have to change another receiver which will be compatible with that dish LNB?
Will a Viewsat Ultra VS2000 receiver also work with Fortec LNB?
Please advise, I really appreciate.
Thanks,
titeo123

Hi titeo123:

First, if you are new to Dish Network what are you doing with a Pansat Receiver? Does Dish not supply their own equipment? If you are doing illegal things with your Pansat then I suggest you read this:

http://www.sadoun.net/forums/dish-ne...king-talk.html

The Pansat will work fine for VTV4 and all other FTA channels. For VTV4 I suggest you get a minimum 36" (or larger) dish; the 31" pan won't quite cut it because the VTV4 signal is pretty weak.

I receive VTV4 just fine in Florida with a 31 inch dish. If you are in Canada, then you will need a 36 inch dish. I can understand a little french since I am a Montreal transplant, but not the vietnamese.
