Unlikely, but it depends where you live.

to get most linear sats like G25 at 97 degrees west you will need at least a 31" dish. I would recommend the 36" dish it will get you alot better signal.

I live in Tampa, Fl. With my 31 inch dish, I can recieve all the channels offered on IA5. However the signal strength varies from 26 to 75% depending on the transponder. That vietnamese channel is one of the weaker transponders, but not the weakest. With my setup, the Vietnamese channel comes in at 33 to 40% which is a very watchable picture (anything less than 20% is not watchable). During the afternoon showers, the signal will drop 10%. There is alot of free content out there, so you must first decide what you want to see. In addition to IA5, there are a couple of other satellites that offer vietnamese content, so you might want to consider a motorized unit. If you want everything, then get a 8 foot dish with C/Ku LNB. You can visit Lyngsat.com to see what's offered, however, you should know that satellite channels change quite often.

Just FYI. We need a minimum of a 39" dish up here in Toronto for VTV4 because like William Eng says, VTV4 uses one of the weaker transponders.

I use a 80cm (30"?) Fortec dish in the Pac NW corner of America (heh) and with Classic NA, I can pick up VTV4 with my best quality/strength at 40%, but typically it hovers/fluctuates between 26%-33%-40%... Any slight movement of the LNB (aka wind, or heavy rain) and the signal drops below 26% and I get jaggies...

I would recommend a 36" dish as minimum for VTV4 on G25.

Ok, I got the 36" dish. Everything came in good. The question is the quality strength is different from Coship and Pansat receiver. I borrowed a Coship from my friend and I got 97 for quality. When I used my Pasat, I got 41. Any comment would be appreciated.

no 2 receiver gives quality readings the same as long as you get a good lock and the picture doesn't breakup you are ok.

Rainman,
But I noticed that the better quality strenght gave better picture.......and it should't be that much different 97 vs. 41? Is there anything else besides just the receivers?

Yes, that is true. Receivers vary widely in their tuner sensitivity.
