Re: any other channels?

No. But there are 2 Vietnamese radio on AMC4 @ 101W
http://www.lyngsat.com/amc4.shtml
Freq 12120, Vertical, SR 30000.
Vietnamese Public radio 1
Vietnamese Public radio 2.
Both are availbe 24/24 from Washington DC.
It's cool to listen to them since these radio channels are "anti-communist", so you can see both sides of the same topic.

They are the local channels on DishNetwork which just happens to carry Vietnamese program (1/2 or 1 hours a day). They used to be FTA when DishNEtwork re-allocated their channels. The info on that site is out-of-date. They are encrypted now, therefore can't be watched using FTA receiver. Even if you are a DishNetwork subscriber, you can't get them either unless you live in the area where the local channels are intended for.

SBTN says that they are on dave and charlie as well as certian cable providers. The real question is are they on or going to be on FTA? I didn't see any reference to FTA on their website.

These guys will never be FTA IMHO; they run a professional broadcast facility and unlike many FTA channels they are not government funded. SBTN is available in parts of Canada on Rogers Cable Ethnic Pack (digital only) -- no word if ExpressVu or StarChoice will pick it up.

SBTN (Saigon Broadcasting Television Network) is hosted by International Channel Networks (http://www.internationalchannel.com/...vietnamese.asp). They say that they are not yet available to view on Dish Network or Direct TV. They have a link to sign a letter to request these channels be added. However, SBTN (http://www.sbtn.tv) claims that their channel is available on Dish Network and Direct TV. I have not called them yet to verify this. International Channel Networks is probably correct since they are the host. If I find out any more on this, I will let everyone know. It would be nice to have more options for viewing Vietnamese television.
