Please help, I'm in pain..

Hello,
Last week I bought a Fortec lifetime receiver+HH100 motor+36" dish to replace my old DMT1050 receiver that I had installed two years ago in 5 hours. But now, I have wasted two days trying to get this one installed. Ok here are my measurments.
Lat: 30.4417 North
Loug: 97.6811 West
P= 54.6
Azim =180
True South= 174.2
Dish Elevation= 25.0147
HH100 Elevation = 30.4417 (also tried 60)..
signal Strength %73, Quality 0.
P.S I have read all the docs and install few times...

Re: Please help, I'm in pain..

Did you aim your dish at T5. Base on the info you provide, your true south sat is T5.
When you tune the dish, you must use an active xponder on T5.
Make sure you set the LO correctly.
If you still can't find T5, adjust the DISH elevation angle. Don't touch the Stab elevation angle which must be the same as your Lat.
Setting up a H-H mount is a bit trickier than a fixed one.

Thanks for reply,
Yes, I was looking for T5, TP 12152,H,20000 at true south (174). And since I was sent "Fortec Star Universal Single LNBF-FSKUV" I select "Universal 1" dusring selection.
Question:
1) My Lat is 30.4417 North then my elevation for HH100 is 30? or since HH100 is upright 90-30=60?
2) what is LO setup?

Oooooh, one other thing, SW version is 2.11 from May 2003, I tried to download a new SW version 2.17 and TP list from my laptop into receiver but failed to make connect, tried different 9 pin cable same result.

1. The stab elevation angle should be set set at 30, which is your Lat.
2. Go to install, antenna settings, click at the Lnb type, make sure it is set at:
Low 9750
High 10600.
In my opinion, unless the new software makes a big improvement, fixing bugs, you should update your receiver. Otherwise, you don't have too.

OK, this is getting interesting.. I removed the HH100 motor, adjust the dish Elevation to 54.6 using Fortec Universtal LNB and settings. Still same problem.
Removed Fortec LNB, installed my old standard LNB, changed the setting to 10750 frq. Better signal level, played with dish Elevation, at 59 degree Elevation (Not 54.6 that I had calculated)!!!! system locked on %50 quality on T5. Moved the dish around, no help, %50 is the best. I was able to scan all the T5 channels.
Replaced the old LNB with the new Fortec LNB, changed the LNB setting back to "Universtal 1". No signal quality. moved around, nothing.

I wounder if there is something wrong with the dish and LNB, there is a small dent on the side of the dish. PLEASE HELP....

did you check the "real" LO settings for the Universal 1. It must be:
Low: 9750
HIgh: 10600.
