Are you saying that you switched from an LNB installed on a feedhorn, and replaced that with an LNBF (ie you can't have an lnb without a feedhorn)? If so, I assume you were previously slaved to an analog receiver (since the mpeg receiver can't control a polarotor, unless you had one of thse vboxes or whatever they are called). If so, I'll further assume that you are now directly connected to the mpeg box, rather than slaving (since some analog receivers don't do lnbfs well)? What did you do to align the polarity of the new lnbf? Ie generally you set up a C-band feedhorn at a 45 deg angle to allow the polarotor to go through both polarities fully, but an lnbf has to be set up exactly on V, since the skew isn't adjustable. I'm guessing that you either didn't align the new lnbf properly, or that you don't have the mpeg receiver set up to properly switch polarities, since before you were probably using an analog receiver to adjust polarity.
You see, I have made about 6 or 7 assumptions, which are the most logical assumptions based on what you told us, however all these assumptions are probably wrong. But unless you explain more, that's my best guess.
