Digicipher is the standard that Motorola uses for their 4DTV digital encryption. Some digicipher signals are for commercial use only and not receiveable by the public. DCII commercial units are available but I think they probably run around $4000 + . Then you have to have authorization to cecrypt the signal.

That's true spyder...

the few channels that are available FTA can be received with the Motorola Sidecar model DSR-905. It runs around $200 or less and can be used as a slave to an analog C-Band receiver -- the C-Band receiver moves the dish and loops throught the LNB feed to the DSR-905. I had one for awhile until this dude offered me more than I paid for it -- so of course I sold it!! Thing is -- you have to get the DSR-905 authorized by Motorola in order to download the channel map -- so you need to subscribe to at least one pay channel in order to get the unit authorized.

And also the DSR-922 (and olderDSR-920) which is an all in one analog+digital unit. They can usually be found new for $600-$700. I've been seeing a lot of people selling these (used) lately though, as they follow the flock to the little dish.

If you're intersted in either the 905 or a 920/922 check on e-bay and see what turns up.
