Receiver and good ol' Rabbit Ears?

How can I set my old pair of Rabbit Ear antenna to work with my BEC 6600CI?

There is an "antenna in" coaxial connection, but what do I have to select on my remote control to choose the signal from that? I don't have a bunch of satellites programmed yet, so I can't take advantage of the digital networks (ABC, CBS, FOX, etc...)

The "Antenna In" is simply an input for an off-air antenna or cable TV connection. The 6600 receiver does nothing with this signal except bypass it through to the "Antenna Out" connector when the power to the 6600 is switched off. It just allows TV sets with only one "Antenna In' connector to share two devices -- antenna/cable or satellite.

OK, I'm not sure if this info is of value to y'all, but I figured out how to conenct my FTA dish, satellite, VCR, rabbit ears antenna, and TV. This is a simple thing, but has the potential to really stress some folks out.

LNB --> LNB In (on Receiver)

Video/Audio Output (on Receiver) --> Video/Audio Input (on VCR) with RCA Cables

Video/Audio Output (on VCR) --> Video/Audio Input (on TV) with RCA Cables

rabbit ears antenna --> Antenna In (on VCR)

All items (the receiver, VCR and TV) must be on to view FTA signal. Press Input Select on VCR remote to switch to FTA reception.

For standard network TV (antenna) reception, I have to shut off the FTA Receiver (when it is on, it messes up the rabbit ears reception) and choose the proper Input Select (on VCR remote).

With this, I can record (on the VCR) FTA channels, etc.

Again, a long description for a simple connection, but in the future someone on this board might find it useful.

Sounds like you need a good multi A/V input stereo receiver. Then the switching is easy.

Yup -- that's the best way to go, spyder.
Either that or an A/V switcher unit like those they sell at Rat Shack...
