Also, I am running a Dell Inspiron 9300/ Pentium Centrino or Dothan chip at 1.83Mhz. Thanks in advance for any help or confirmation.

I use a
Twinhan 1020a, rather than a Starbox, but I think the answer is the same. The speed of the receiver is sufficient for any signal I'm familiar with, however some modes need to be done in software, and the computer may not be fast enough to display. The Twinhan software won't do 4.2.2, however 3rd party software will (TSREADER and DVBAPPS), at least for the PCI cards. I'm not positive whether the Starbox works with this 3rd party software or not. The Twinhan software will do
HD, however your computer is very marginal for that, and probably will show a lot of freeze frames and other digital artifacts. This is not because the card isn't fast enough, but because the computer isn't fast enough. I use a PCI card in a 1.9 GHz computer, and have problems displaying directly on the PC, however I can port the HD to an external network device (Roku HD1000) that gives error free video. The porting is done via 3rd party software (Tsreader), so again, I'm no sure if the Starbox is compatable or not. So bottom line is that the card is capable, but the computer and software may not be.
