hi hola:
to get the lnb polirzation elevation and azimuth go to:
http://sadoun.us/Sat/Installation/Sa...Calculator.htm
I calculted for you location(25.73latitude,80.35 longuitude) you have to set you dish for hispasat to elevation 27.4 azimuth 109.8 and lnb -57 (when facion the dish move the lnb 57 degrees to the left)(clock wise) see the link I am seding with message to see how can you adjust your lnb http://sadoun.us/Sat/Installation/Sa...Calculator.htm (this link have pictures on the bottom that show lnb polarization.
You be able to get Hispasat with you dish size.

MHeat:

If you are going to mount the dish on a motor than you simply mount the LNB with the connectors pointing straight down (ie: 6:00 o'clock position) - no polarization is required because when the dish moves the polarization will be set automatically.

That's correct. The LNB must have zero skew - in other words it must be aligned in the holder so that, depending on the design, it's connectors point straight down ... or ... if it's connectors stick out the back (like on the Eagle Aspen 'popcan' style) the "UP" arrow is pointing straight up.

kat

BTW - it helps to mount the LNB as far back as possible in the holder - so the distance from the LNB to the face of the dish is at its maximum.

thanks for your help buddy, now if you dont mind another question, i am confused with the angles i have to set up, the motor has lattitude and elevation, but the pole also has and elevation angle, which ones of this three i have to set correctly, for example i live in miami and my zip is 33165, if i want to get telstart5, what do i put for the elevation and and lattitude in the motor and what do i have to put for the elevation on the mast, that got my head twisting, hope i did not confused you, and another thing, once i get telstart5, will i be able to get other satellites like hispasat 1c and panamsat9 by just telling my receiver to look for those satellites? thanks a bunch again.

Oh... so if you are using a HH120 motor you don't have to rotate your LNB? I didn't realize that. Hopefully the RCA DIY kit video explains dish rotators too :0

Hi MHeat - guess I missed this post. Check out the elevation and latitude settings here ---> http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installati...stallation.htm (assuming you bought an HH motor) If you bought a STAB motor then here is the appropriate linky ---> http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installati...ion-Angles.htm

All the info and calculations are in this installation link by Sadoun.

LMAO !!!!

You know, I have never watched that RCA video - I'm sure its pretty wild... and I'm sure that motors are not covered because DirecTV and DishNet dishes don't use them.

Heh. Well I've been reading about this stuff for years, and actually have an older KMS system I never did buy a dish for, just now getting 'back in the game' and I want to make sure I have everything I need before I start the install.
