Twinham receiver USB Sat card

I made a recent purchase of a Twinham and have not been able to get installed. When I boot the program I get error message, USB Sat card not found. I find no mention in Sadoun description of this receiver and it's requirements of a Sat card nor is this mentioned in the papers supplied with the Receiver. I have a Compaq laptop running Win 2000 Pro. Do I need to purchase this card and plug it in?

Bob

I don't have the USB receiver, and hopefully someone who does can help more, however I'm guessing that by "USB Sat Card" it is referring to your receiver. Ie the program isn't detecting that you have the receiver connected to the USB port for some reason. Something similar to this happened to me with the PCI version of the receiver once, and I had to uninstall, delete the whole directory with all files, and re-install to get it recognized.
And a complete guess.... some USB ports are powered and others aren't. Some of my laptops have one powered port and one without power. Maybe the Twinhan requires a powered port and you are plugged into one without power??? You might try switching USB ports.

Thank you for your most welcome help. My Compaq has a single USB port but will handle 2 tiers of plug in powered Hubs. I will try reloading the software and we will see what can happen. I have large problems with Oak trees blocking my signals!!!! I am waiting for a tree climber to arrive and get rich on me.....
