Some satellites broadcast in frequencies which a regular LNB (thing in front of dish antenna which receives TV signals) will not receive.
To get these additional frequencies (or more TV channels), you need the right kind of LNB.
For Ku it is called a "Wideband" or "Universal" LNB.
For C it is called an extended LNB.
Examples of the different LNB's and LNBF's (LNB is for a feedhorn on a big 8 or 10 ft. dish, LNBF is for small dishes.)
