PCI receiver card and HD RPTV hookups

Does anyone have this hooked up to a Microdisplay (HD RPTV)?

If not, has anyone thought of it since it has the potential of HD with the RGB or DVI output (depending on you video card)?

I personaly use this combination Twinhan->TSReader->Roku HD1000->Samsung DLP

IT works flawless. I can stream PBS HD from AMC3 ku for days without any glitches.

Good thing about this setup is that your computer doesn't do much/any video processign so i t doesn't get too overloaded. If your computer is fast enough there is no reason why you couldn't connect your VGA out or DVI out from your video card to your TV and watch it like that.

I will have a Microdisplay by years end (thought that last year :mozilla_frown: ), but I do have a ATSC tuner card installed already.
Is PBS the only HD material that is available FTA?

PBS HD is the only full time HD fta channel on Ku band. There re occasional feeds also that come and go.

How is this different than using a ATSC card (MyHD120) when viewing a OTA signal? This card is a software card correct?
On all the other material, how is the PQ compared with a stand along?

I can't compare it since I neer used any ASC cards.

With the solution I use, all that is done on the PC is taking the streamand forwardingit on anetwork port where my Roku picks it up. So video card and video processing in general is not done at all on the computer.
