Polarity Question

When I do channel search on my Fortec, on T6 and T5, I get the green signal lines when I have the MOT on Horizontal and the FOrtec on Vertical and vice versa. I lose the green line when I have the polarity the same. Why is that happening and is that ok?

Serena

It could be that your FEEDHORN is not skewed correctly. Check it and make sure that the UP Arrow (if one is available on your feedhorn) is pointing up.

Or the SKEW on the polarizor could be off

Would it only be off on 2 satellites?

Your Skew control might be off for these two satellites.

Keep both receiver on same polarity.
Adjust the skew manullay on your MOT
Notice the signal and quality on your Fortec.

I would let one receiver control polarity, not both.
My Fortec is slaved to a Houston Tracker. I use the 12v provided by the Fortec to control a relay that switches polarity from one to the other.

That is the way to go. But, the 786v3 does not have a polarizor control like the 786NA.

It took a lot of playing around but I finally got it. I don't know why it was so difficult. I'd get the vertical tps in ok, but no horizontal, Then vice versa. It was frustrating. But I seem to have it now (for t5. Haven't tried t6 yet.) Thanks,

Serena
