need help please

hi guys i have a fortec life time ultra and im trying to put a universal lnb and a dish net work lnb on the same dish how do i wire them i tryed wit a splitter but it wont work...thanks mario
ps... im runing the cable only in the fortec star receiver

You must use a 2-way or a 4-way DiSEqC switch and connect the universal LNB to Port 1 and the DishNetwork LNB to Port 2; then set up the receiver to switch over to the universal LNB for the satellites you want and the DishNetwork LNB for the EchoStar satellites. There is very little FTA on the EchoStar sats however...
