First of all, do you know what satellites you want to get that offer Italian and Bosnian programs? Did you determine which satellite is your "true south" satellite? Once you do that you must follow the HH motor setup instructions

etobas, I’m also something of a newbie, and let me tell you: installing the dish rotator turned out to be a real nightmare for me. I’d strongly suggest setting the system up *without* the motor first, just to insure that everything else in your system is working as it should be. Just pick your first-choice satellite (for now) and aim the dish at it.

Also (this was one of my first, and most frustrating mistakes) make sure you are on an “active” transponder for the satellite you’ve selected. The default transponder settings on the Fortec Star are not necessarily active, and you can aim that dish forever and get nothing if the satellite’s transponder isn’t active.

Check the listings at http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/North-America.html for the specific transponder frequencies that apply to the satellite and channel you’re interested in. I’ve found that my Fortec Star, at least, locks on to the signal (green quality bar lights up) surprisingly quickly and easily - once it knows what transponder frequency to look for.
