Two receivers on one LNB

I am subscribed to Bell Expressvu and the dish has a duel LNB. I have a Pansat 2500 and would like to know how to connect it to the other side of the LNB, in order to receive the available music stations. Do I need any special switches or anything to prevent a conflict between the two receivers? Thanks for your help!

No, no conflict. Just connect the 2500 to the other LNB output. The important thing is to use a separate cable for each receiver.

In this particular case Bell receiver and Pansat are going to be completely independent? What I mean is Bell receiver's gonna see a second receiver or not? I am not quite sure how dual output LNB works. Just to avoid additional questions from Bell... :?:

The two receivers will be totally independent from each other. The Bell receiver cannot "see" the Pansat. Having said that... the Pansat emits a secret frequency that can only be picked up by Bell ExpressVu "piracy detector vans" driving down your street. So if you are using your Pansat for evil purposes then you had better beware...

Can I run a cable from Loop out of first receiver to LNB in of second receiver? and second one will work independently?

Yes, the second receiver will work independently as long as the first receiver is turned off.

What will happen is that one receiver will "take over" the LNB and prevent the second receiver from switching polarities. So only half the channels will be available on the second receiver. You are better off to get a dual output LNB and run separate cables to each receiver; more work but it is the professional solution.

two receivers

Can I using some kind switch instead of dual output LNB? I already have two dishes(18" and 33") wired through a DiSEqC switch which has one port to receiver. I like to hook up one switch to this port, then branches to two receivers. So what kind switch can be used here?

There is no switch that will do what you want to do. You need a dual output LNB. Next case.... :mozilla_laughing:

I'm trying to do the same thing but basically have two dvb cards running on two dishes.

I purchased a JVI 35-DN34 switch hoping that this will work but seems like it won't switch transponders.

I've heard that you need to plug in a receiver on one of the outputs for power in order for it to work. Is there an alternative?
