Question about RG6 cable and interference from electrical

My RG6 cable going to my living room satellite receiver comes through the attic and comes down a wall cavity that happens to have a 220 wire that goes to the kitchen range in it also. I've heard that it will cause interference, and I've heard it won't, but, judging by browsing these forums(that I just found), this is the place to ask. I'm getting ready to redo all my cables and use better quality cable, eliminate any splices(wall plates, couplers, etc.), and was curious about this 220 wire. It is in the wall cavity I would like it to be in, especially when I have a wall plate that also has a phone jack in it, but I could move it if it could be a problem. Or would better coax that has more shielding be the answer, since I'm going to change my cable anyway? I get a good picture, all in all, but I basically want to go through and optimize everything, because that's just my nature....and we just got a 50" DLP tv, so I want to do everything possible. Anyway, this is my first post here, and this is a really cool site, and any feedback greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Generally speaking the 220 volt range cable will not cause interference with the IF cable from your dish since the dish frequency range is so high. Ideally they say you should run any RF cables perpendicular to any high voltage cables but of course in a wall cavity this is usually not possible. If you intend on replacing the dish cable anyway then I suggest using a good quality RG6 such as Belden or Commscope. Quad shield RG6 is even better but it is more expensive and harder to find. Simply use the existing dish cable as a pull fish -- unless it is stapled to the wall studs...

Thanks a lot! I'll probably re- route the cable since I'm changing it anyway. I'll probably go with the quad shield....maybe overkill, but If I'm doing it, why not cover all the bases. I've heard about bend radius in coax, and that on quad shield, not to have more than a 3"radius bend to it. What does that mean in layman's terms?
