getting signal but no channels

I had my Fortec installed but then had Ku-band and a new actuator installed on my system. We now have the C-band and Ku-band connected, but don't get anything with the FTA. We are getting Ku fine ontthe Mot 922, so it's not the Ku set up. We used the DisEq switch that came with the BUD slave kit. I'm getting signal, but it doesn't find any channels. How do I resolve this? I ssupect that it's just a setting or something "simple" :?

Make sure your Antenna settings in the Fortec receiver are correct.

For example

Look at DiSEqC switch and mark which side has the C and KU coaxials
Let's say 1 is for the C and 2 is for the KU side
In Antenna Settings

Antenna 1
LNBF Type: SINGLE (Click OK on Single and change the LO to 5150)
LNB Power: V/H
DiSEqC: 1

Antenna 2
LNBF Type: SINGLE (Click OK on Single and change the LO to 10750)
LNB Power: V/H
DiSEqC: 2

so far so good, but...

I did what you said and was able to program in AMC 1, c-band. When I tried to do ku-band, on antenna 2, I received a red signal bar. I didn't get any new channels. Am I doing it wrong? On the MOT 922, AMC 1 c-band is W1 and AMC 1 ku-band is K1 (or something similar). On the Fortec, do I program both in on AMC 1 rather than treating them as 2 different satellites? Also, what does the red signal bar mean? - the purple signal bar?

Thanks for your help. At least I'm making progress.

On the Fortec both C and KU band satellites are under one satellite name.

In KU, make sure you are using a LIVE transponder for the satellite your are interested in. Also make sure that the polarity matches between the MOT and the Fortec.

For example on AMC1 KU band

Select a LIVE Vertical or Horizontal transponder that matches the polarity of you MOT.

If the MOT is on a vertical channel, you can only view the Vertical channels on the Fortec and vis versa.

Red signal bar means no lock on the satellite.

1- Make sure you have the TP on a LIVE transponder
2- Make sure the polarities match
3- Good luck and good job so far..

progress, but no picture on many

I'm getting satellites programmed in, but getting sound only on the majority of channels. I assume that I should be getting picture on the Hallmark channels on c3. Is there a setting that needs to be corrected?

Also, I only need to do the scan twice per satellite, unless it has both c-band and Ku-band, right? It doesn't matter what transponder I'm on as long as it's the same polarity as the tp on the Fortec, right?

Thanks for your help!
