Fortec Ultra Lifetime telephone jack

I'm trying to get set up for installation before gear arrives. So I'm trying to find a good place to bring in RG6, within close distance to 110 volt line inside house.
Somewhere I saw something that had to do with "plugging into telephone jack". Wish I could remember where I saw it. Maybe I'm just dreaming this up.
My question is: Does inside installation have to be near a phone jack?

That's for DirecTv and Dish network. FTA doesn't. What gear are you getting?

Yo zeroBeat - thanks for info. I probably could have answered my own question if I had a user manual up front.

Now I'll look thru the manual. I'm planning on just FTA. Now that I know I don't need a telephone jack inside house, it will be much easier.
