Is this possible ?

I got my lifetime ultra ,hh90,& 90cm dish. I live in orlando, with a long of 81.37, lat: 28.5 & dish elv 40.3.1st, I pointed dish & motor to my true south (180+5.5), and I started to shoot for IA5KU. After , a whole day of furstration, I got a signal at dish elv of 23deg instead of 40.3. However ,I realized that I forgot to move the motor to 97w which is IA5Ku's loc.I tried to move the motor to this loc , but I lost signal. My quality is above 80, but I had to disable the motor to keep the signal. Is there any explanation to this, and of cource an easy fix , or I have to start all over again. thanks

I think you'll need to start over...
Go into settings and put dish to "reference point" (now it should be back to zero).
Alighn all for true south (180+5.5)
Then use the USALS to move dish to AMC5 (not IA5). This sat is only a couple degrees from your true south setting. It should be easy to find.
THEN adjust for best signal.
Now you can move to IA5 using usals and see if you get some signal, and tweak the dish alighment.

PS - what did you set your motor's bracket elevation number to?

The motor is set at 28.5 which is equal to my lat. It is also still at 0 deg. So, you think neither my dish and motor, nor my dish elv are set correrctly, even though I got a signal with above 80% quality. my steps should be as follows: 1- Aim both dish & motor to my true south , probably a little bite to the left.2- Move motor to AMC5 loc. then adjust dish elv to get signal. thanks

28.5 is good for the motor. Just making sure.

I think you had to go to lower elevation because the IA5 is lower on the arc than AMC5, and when you were attempting to find it you had to lower your elevation. It's possible to get the dish located on a satellite, but unless all the numbers are correct, once it moves it will not track the arc and you'll only get that one bird.

You need to remember that the dish "tilts" as it rotates and automatically compensates for the lower elevation as it moves side to side.
The dish setup bracket elevation you calculated at a value of 40 is at its highest point (center of the top of the arc), when you are doing the initial setup.

Steps:
1. Align to true south (180 + 5.5) shoudl be a little "right" of south (to the west at 185 degrees on a compass)
2. USALS to AMC5
3. Adjust dish elevation, and motor's bracket on pole (side to side - the whole contaption dish & motor) to peak signal
