Aiming 36" dish with motor.

I have a 36" dish mounted to a H-H motor.
For two days I tried to find any satellite using the KU LNB that came with it with absolutely no luck. Never even a hint of a signal.

The KU is a 9.75-10.6GHz that came with the setup I bought here.
It is mounted with no skew.

I then mounted an LNB from my old Dishnet dish next to the KU and tested that using the proper setting for it.
(I'm not trying to pickup Dishnet, I want Telstar5 @ 105)

With the Dishnet LNB, I get 80%+ signal on most all 8 Dishnet/BEV satellites it sees from 61.5 to 148, of course no video but plenty of music.

I would think that this means my arc is correct..

The two LNBs are right next to each other, on the same horizontal line (side view) and the two faces are parallel to each other.

I read somewhere to connect the KU feed to my Dishnet receiver and see it it gets 105 or 121. Moving 1 step at a time and waiting 5 seconds between steps, I went all the way across and never saw anything.

What am I missing??

Steve

Telstar 5 is at 97W, not 105. Dish/Bev satellites are strong and you will get signal even if you areoff a little. There is a good chance you are still not completely on the arc.

Turned out to be a bad LNB.
I borrowed another one and it works great.

I had 105 on-the-brain because my DN LNB is 8Degrees off of my KU, so when I point the DN to 105 the KU sees 97.. my bad.
