New driver & software

There is new version of Twinhan DTV (v2.602) software at http://www.twinhan.com/download_driver&software.asp

It looks like a lot of redesigning took place in this version. New interface and it comes integrated with software to lets you record directly to DVD.

Haven't had enough time to play around and see what other new features it has.

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday, but didn't download it.
Can you tell if the drivers have actually changed, or is it just that it is a new control application? Ie do 3rd party applications still work the same?
I notice that they no longer have a SDK available on their web page, and I wonder if this means that they are trying to restrict 3rd party applications for some reason?
Also, I assume that record directly to DVD means that it just prepares the necessary files, and you need a DVD burner to actually burn it, or does it actually do the burning too?

Downloaded software and installed.

First I tried G10 to see if it could find the ODC on xponder 24. Scan came up empty. Then I added the Freq and SR to the xponder to list. Scanned just that xponder and bang found 6 feeds. Looking at the feeds, I notice there was no AC3 audio and no HD.

Waiting to see what others think.

what did you mean by "no AC3 audio" and "no HD".
audio and video are decoded by software. I don't use the software shipped with the card so I am not sure what codecs TH uses, but most codecs should handle AC3 and HD stream without any problem (assuming you have fast PC).

I scanned the ODC using the new DTV software and 6 feeds showed up. There were no AC3 or HD feeds.

That's all I know. All of the audios were mpg.
