Do I need signals from 101/110/119 for HD or just 101/119?

Still Confused, using Birdog I finally got A, E & T settings to where
I have 101 and 119 signals (@ 70/70 ea. for S & Q) but 110 still
says searching. Conversely, I can get a strong 110 alone w/ no 101 or 119. The standard DTV guide with dishes says you just need 101 and 119 signals. I have one of those ##$@^ Samsung HD recievers that boots for 3-5 mins looking for a signal before you can even get to a menu so I havent got that far. The receiver does work fine though and both HD & non-HD receivers tell me that I need to be at 119 A and 110 E & T for my LL/zip, which is where I'm at dish hardware wise. Also, I am using a 5' tripod in a portable setup, but I have used this w regular DTV / 101 with ease in the past.

$64,000 question: Do I need 101 and 119, or also 110 signals for everything HD to work?

THANK YOU ALL for your INPUT

101 & 119 aligned properly also ets you 110 in the middle. The trick is the degree of tilt in addition to elevation & azimuth.

1)get the latitude & longitude for your zip from US gazetteer/census bureau
http://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/gazetteer

2) plug in latitude & longitude get the dish settings from
http://sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/S...Calculator.htm

birdog gets me a signal in minutes, if not seconds.

regards, Alan K.

On your birdog; if you can get 101 and 119 you can get 110. Did you set the ird for triple lnb dish? Most likely thats the case.
