No Signal Syndrome

Receiver experts, I need your help please. I'm experiencing sporadic freezing on FTA KU band satellites. It takes a reboot to recover normal reception. Signal Q is great - over 90% on all sats.

When the freeze occurs, I get one of two scenarios. In one, the screen is all black with nothing else on it (& no sound). In the other, the screen is also black but has a channel information box and the message "No Signal" (& there is no sound)!

When the "No Signal" scenario occurs; I've done some investigating in the "antenna setup" menu. I found that most (but not all) of the transponders have temporarily lost their quality. When reception is normal they all have quality over 90%. When I reboot, all transponders come back to over 90% quality. Because some one will ask - the few transponders that still have a signal during the freeze don't show TV.

What would cause this loss of signal on some (but not all) of the transponders?
