Please help with Fortec Ultra, Diseqc 2.0, 4-way splitter

Hi all, Will this method work?

1) 1 circular LNB---to---LNB1 on Diseqc 4x1
1 linear KU band LNB(telstar5)--to-- LNB2 on Diseqc 4x1

2) I connect OUTPUT of Diseqc 4x1 to Fortec ULtra receiver SAT IN

3) From TV OUT of Fortec, I run a 50 feet coax cable to 4-way splitter

4) From 4 OUT of splitter, of course I run 4 RG6 cables to 4 TVs in

different rooms.

If it worked, should I use All-port power pass 1in4out splitter or All-

port power passive 1in4out splitter? when to use power pass splitter

and when to use power passive one? And should I use terminatorfor

LNB3 and LNB4 on 2 unsed ports of 4x1 Diseqc? thanks alot .

Yes, that will work fine. You don't need a power passing splitter -- the ordinary $2.00 kind will work fine. There is no such animal as a power passive splitter - they are either power passing or not. You don't need to terminate the unused inputs on the 4-way DiSEqC switch although some people do. I never terminate anything.
