Dish Assembly Questions

I am putting together a system with Fortec Star FC80 dish (80cm), LNBF, and Lifetime Ultra receiver. I notice the dimensions of the dish is a bit loose. If I tighten the two reflector brackets to the reflector, the bolts from the brackets will not go in the LNBF arm !! (one of them is off by at least 1/16th in). It looks like the curvature of the reflector is too deep. If I keep the 4 reflector bolts loose and tighten them at the end of the assembly, it works. But I feel that I cheat myself because I am deforming the reflector. At the moment, I incline to elongate the bottom hole on the LNBF arm to let the bolt go in by itself. Is this the right thing to do ?

sounds right to me...remember,the angle of the dangle is directly proportionate to the heat of the meat!

I would not.

I had same problem just a couple weeks or so ago with new FC80P.
I actually looked at the box, thought Sadoun had sent me the wrong setup kit for the dish...

Just install all the bolts very loose, then tighten them all a little bit at a time. Dish will work just fine.

Yes, that's what I do with any dish assembly. Finger tight at first until everything is together then snug up the bolts, nuts, etc.
