Sat Arc question

This is going to sound stupid but lets say that amc 9 is my most southern sat. My question is will I get any east sats 85.0 w and east or will I just get 85.0 w and west. I guess I'm asking about limits given my position 36 Lat and 84 long...sorry but I think that I have read too much!! my brain is melting :? I will try to keep my stupid questions to a few a year from now on if anyone can help me understand.
Thanx

Considering there are no obstrouction in a way, you can easily see everything between Hispasat at 30W and IA7 at 129W.

Now like DruzeTito said, it depends alot on what HH motor you have, bucause they all have different max horizontal turning.

Hope that helps.

Well you gotta make sure that first of all the atlantic sat transponders you are aiming at are beamed towards your area. You can see this with the footprint charts of that particular sat. Lyngsat has it all for these things. Next since the earth is curved you can only get a far away sat to a point. European satellites cannot be reached unfortunatley. They have tons of good FTA programming.

Thanks for all the help.....I have a HH100 motor so now I think I see...go to lynsat see what is really being beamed here (footprints). Then write down which sats I should be able to see then set my most southern sat (which is kind of like being dead center of the arc (for my postion anyway) then starting finding the sats and the last one in the east that I can see will be my eastern limit and the same for the south.......have I got it?
Thanks again again
