New Installation

I just installed my new system and it is working, sort of. My location is Prescott, AZ My system includes a Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra, Frotec 90 dish and a Stab HH120. The southern Satellite from my location is Satmex5. I am able to receive FTA programming on AMC1 East to AMC6. My system needs to be tweeked but I am not sure which adjustments to make. I hate to mess up the signals that I am getting now. Any help.? Thank you in Advance. :?

What do you mean by "tweaked"? Is the signal strength or quality too low?

Kat,
I used the word "tweeked" to mean fine tune of the antenna. On most of the satellites that I receive I get a signal level of 80-93 with a quality of 10-25. At 10 the pictures are breaking up. Lynn

That's kind of low for the quality level. I suggest you "tweak" (or is it "tweek", I'm not really sure) the elevation just very slightly. It seems that your dish is not tracking the arc precisely. If you throw it off entirely, don't blame me...

Have a look at the instructions for motors in the Sadoun website installation section.

Kat,

I think that it is tweak. Sometimes my fingers do not follow in step with my mind. I will try to adjust the elevation some and see what happens. Not to worry about putting any blame on you. I reserve that for much bigger problems in life. Even then I blame myself for messing things up. Thank you for your help. I will give feedback on my results.

Kat,

Well I went out in the Arizona sun Friday (78deg) and did some adjustment on the elevation. I am happy to say that the existing signal I was receiving got much stronger in quality and it also brought in the Satellites that I was not receiving. Thank you very much for your help.
