DJ needs his Music
Well Sat dish is up, I do max out on my southern most sat AMC5,

Did I do something wrong?? I do understand that I have a FTA receiver - 786V3. On Lyngsat US has a many FTA Channels, I dont get it
All I wanted was MUSIC and more MUSIC. Not getting it
Any HELP would be Appreciated BIG TIME !!!

Re: DJ needs his Music
A bit confuse here. You said your dish aims at AMC5, then you mentioned about T5. Which sat your dish aims at?
For music, you might consider putting up a DirectTV or DishNEtwork dish, aim it at Echostar7 at 119W, all the music channels are FTA.

Not every channel listed as FREE TV or FREE RADIO on lyngsat is available in North America. Only the satellites covering our area will be picked up by the receiver. Even then, not everything listed as FREE is in DVB format, and that is the only format that the Fortec (and most other consumer FTA receivers) will work with.

Note: you need to use a circular lnbf (any directTV or DishNetwork lnbf will work) for Echostar7. Use the LOF 11250 for circular signal.

Re: DJ needs his Music
Since you have a motorized dish, you actually don't need to up a directv one for circular signal. You can tie the circular lnbf next to the linear one on your motorized dish, then use a Diseqc 2 or 4 ways to switch between the 2 lnbfs. If your dish tracks to arc fine, you will get lock on all the circular sats (DishNetwork/BellVu) as well.
