Installing a Pansat 2500a on a C-band System?

Hello all I don't know if this has already been asked. I'm new to the FTA stuff. But not to the C-band my Question is I have a Dual Feed c-band System with a GI-550i and another receiver hooked to it.

I'm getting a new Pansat 2500a next week and I want to hook it to my C-band System. Which is the easiest way to do this, hook it up like its another receiver or what.

Also since my C-band system is dual feed which means it has 2 LNB's one for Vertical the other is Horizontal. How would I set up the pansat so it uses both LNB's?

What parts do I need to do this other then the receiver?

You will need 2 2ways splitter, one port DC pass and the other port DC block.
You also need a Diseqc 2 ways for your Pansat.
1. connect 2 cables from lnbs to the 2 splitters.
2. Connect 2 DC pass ports from 2 splitters to your analog receiver.
3. Connect 2 DC block port from the the spiltters to a Diseqc 2 ways.
4. Set up your Pansat to controll the Diseqc switch.
In other words, your analog serves as the master one which still send the voltage and control the the polarity. Let say your analog is on Vertical lnb, then Pansat will receive the signal from the Vertical. Once you set up the Pansat switch the Diseqc ports correctly, the Pansat you will get the same signal as your analog one gets.

Re: Installing a Pansat 2500a on a C-band System?

So what your Saying is I need 2 Power Divider Splitters that is what they call them for the C-band. Which is a Splitter with power going to one side and no power to the other? I have allot of those since I need them to hook up more then 1 Receiver.

Then a Diseqc? I have 4 way one of those coming with the receiver.

So I think I get what your saying I basicly Hook up the Pansat the same way I do a slave C-band Receiver the main receiver supplies the power to the LNB's then the other receivers get the LNB power from the Master one. Then the Diseqc tells the Pansat which LNB to use?

You have all the things you need for slaving your Pansat to the analog.
The analog serves as the master one (moving the dish, control the lnb....), Pansat will get the same signal as the analog does. In order words, if analog is on V, Pansat will get signal from V polarity.
