Fortec Dish and Dish Network LNB Holder

Has anyone tried to use the Dish Network "y" adapter that holds 2 lnb's on a Fortec dish?

No but now that you mention it, it seems like a cool idea...

On second though, those Y adapters are D-channel, aren't they... So that rules out any linear LNB that I can think of. Would work for DishNet LNBs I guess. Although I'm not sure why you would want to run DishNet from a Fortec dish unless you have really poor signal strengths from your current DN dish. Even then, there might be focal length issues -- would be a good experiment though.

I'm wanting to put up an Fortec and just thought that I could use "y" to set up a second LNB.

Yes, you could but you would be limited to using D-channel style LNBs such as DishNetwork type.
