Multiple Diseqc Switches

I want to connect at least 5 LNBs (3 Ku-Cir, 1 Ku-Lin, 1 C) to my Twinhan 1020a.
Will it work if I connect 2 Diseqc 4 way switches to a 22 Khz switch.

I have an old Dish SW-21 is that a 22 Khz switch, or should I just get the one that
is labeled as 22Khz?
Or, is there a better way to connect more than 4 LNBs.

I also have a DTV Triple LNB with built in switch that I'm thinking about adding
to the mix, does anyone know what kind of switch is built in, is it diseqc by any
chance? Is it possible to remove the built in switch, I'm not afraid to take it
apart.

Thanks for any info.

Re: Multiple Diseqc Switches

1. SW21 does not switch the ports propertly using 22khz tone. Much better to use a 22khz switch.
2. TwinHan is able to control 22khz/Diseqc switch. But you will need to find an software allowing you to cascade these 2 switches. In order words, using both switch at the same time. I can' confirm if the software comes with the card allowing you to do that since I don't use it. I am using my TH 1020 with DVBApps.
3. Directv lnbf with built-in won't work well with 22khz tone. You might need to replace it with 3 saperate lnbfs, which will work better with 22khz/Diseqc switch.
Or you can use a manual A/B switch to switch between 2 Diseqc 4 ways. Disadvantage of this approach is that you have to run 2 cables to your house.

Thank you Michael, things are much clearer now.
The software I use now is MyTheatre do you know if that will handle the switching.
Actually, I was looking for some other software that would be less buggy than MyTheatre,
any reccomendations.

Oh, and do you know what kind of switch is in the DTV triple LNB.

Thanks again, you saved me alot of time!

Aaron

...Let me know if you find a way to disable the multiswich

The DTV triple has a proprietary multiswitch which is not compatible with Disecq stuff;try ProgDVB by Prog instead of my theatre...much better. Please let me know if you find a way to disable the multi switch.cheers.
