Hello everyone. im doing a 3 sat setup the coax run in over 100 ft. when i do the setup all switches are correct but will only detect 2 out of 3 dishes,
but if i run 2 its fine. im wondering if i should pick up a in-line amplifer or a power inserter. (which is better)or is it better just to buy a powered switch.
Did you ever get this taken care of. It sounds like your signal strength for Sat 3 is not strong enough to make the 100 ft run. Sat 1 and 2 are tuned better.
I suggest you either reposition your sat 3 dish to better receive signal or pu ta line amp on your 3 dish only. If the signal isn't strong enough to make the 100 ft run and the others are then amplifying it should be well within the power capacity of all you equipment down stream.
