no quality

I have a lifetime ulta fortec receiver with an 18'' direct tv dish conected to it. The level is fine it's just the quality that always reads 0%, I tried moving the dish around, no luck, the quality stays at 0%. I don't know what I might be doing wrong, or maybe do I need to get a bigger dish? any suggestions will be appreciated.

thanx

Hi Krephen,
Where did you get the notion that a pizza size dish would work for FTA (Ku)? Anyway give this link a look. It should help.

ZeroBeat,
FTA stands for Free to Air, which is available on both linear (such as T5) and linear Ku (such as DishNetwork). With a FTA DVB receiver, one can actually get the FTA DishNetwork such as PBS, Nasa. Not many though.

Crephen,
You need to double check the LOF, which have to be set at 11250 for circular Ku (DishNEtwork in this case). Skew is not required for circular Ku.
