Circular=O.K. Linear=nothing?????

I've got a 6600+ bec reciever, Satcontrol sm3d12 motor, Fortechstar fc90p dish and fortechstar fsku lnb.

When I mount the circular lnb on the dish I can get sats 61.5,82,91,110, and 119 with 85 strength 98 qaulity and all music chnl. come in.

But when I mount the fsku universal lnb after leaving the dish pointed at nimiq 91 where the music was coming in at 85s98q and setting the lnb LO at 9750 10600 I can't get telestar 11 on any transponders even when I try at telestar 5 moving the motor I even tried a sky vista lnb LO 10750 and still no yellow bars???

I've tried with and without diseq swicth mounted between motor and lnb's

I don't understand how the dish can be out of alingment since I can catch 61.5 to 119 with circular with same 85strength and 98quality.

Could it be posible I got a bad lnb from sadoun or something with the reciever is gone?

Any guidence or sugestions greatly apreciated.

Make sure you are tuned to an active transponder on G11 and T5. The receiver's preformatted transponder list goes out of date sometimes. You can get the data from ---> www.lyngsat.com

You will need frequency, polarity and symbol rate for each active transponder. On lyngsat, look for the channels in yellow marked "DVB"; these are the free-to-air ones and these are the ones your receiver will pick up.

Thanks for the reply

I know how to set up transponders and freq. since i setup 61.5 to 119 not using the preset ones on the dms34 .chd list i loaded with ver.8 software.

I've got
lnb 1 set for circular 14V
lnb 2 set for circular 18V
lnb 3 set for linear universal

I think I read somewhere that fta universal lnb has to be set to lnb 1 not 2,3 or 4 is this true for the bec6600+?

I'm going to compare the transponders and freq. and reply back to let you know.

thanks again

That could be true - not sure. Try bypassing the switch entirely and setting the BEC's LNB1 setting to 10,600 MHz L.O. frequency.

It worked thanks

Setting lnb1 @ 10600MHz LO I can only lock on 1 tp on G11 can I only catch freq. above 11000MHz with this setup?

tryed to find T5 97'west no lock on any tp's(bad weather maybe?) I will try again later.

Atleast I know now the lnb works and linear has to be on lnb1
and hopefully the switch and circular lnb will still work after setting all the linear channel's?
