Suppose I'm in Los Angeles, CA:
- Location: 34 N, 118 W ==> Latitude: 34, Longitude: 118
- Closest Satellite from my longitude: Echostar 7 at 119
- True south: 180 - 16 = 164
I'm using
SM3D12 motor and here's my finding:
- Dish Elevation = P - (60 - 34) = 50 - 26 = 24
- Motor Elevetion = Latitude = 34
Motor setting based on south most satellite (Echostar 7 @ 119)
- Motor setting = (119 - 118) * 1.15 = 1.15 W
So, if I setup my system with those values above and assuming my pole is perfectly vertical. I should get Echostar 7, correct?
Please let me know if I miss anything.
Thanks.
